History at St Bartholomew’s inspires pupils’ curiosity to know more about the past. Teaching equips pupils to ask perceptive questions, think critically, weigh evidence, sift arguments, and develop perspective and judgement. We want our pupils to understand the complexity of people’s lives, the process of change, the diversity of societies and relationships between different groups, as well as their own identity and the challenges of their time.
At St Bartholomew’s our geography education inspires a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people that will remain with pupils for the rest of their lives. We equip pupils with knowledge about diverse places, people, resources, and natural and human environments, together with a deep understanding of the Earth’s key physical and human processes. We teach pupils the interaction between physical and human processes, and about the formation and use of landscapes and environments.
