The computing curriculum at St Bartholomew’s is designed around three key phases of development and attainment: EYFS We want children to recognise different types of technology and select the appropriate technology for a particular purpose; e.g. an iPad to take photographs, or a keyboard to type.
KS1 We want children to code simple programmes, and to begin to understand the uses of the internet and internet safety; e.g. programme a Beebot, or research a topic on the internet.
KS2 We want all students to leave school being computer literate and equipped with the skills that they need for life and work in the 21st century. We want children to use technology and the internet for a range of purposes (coding, blogging, app making) effectively and safely
