A STATEMENT OF EDUCATIONAL AIMS

At St. Bartholomew's School we aim :-

To provide an environment which is happy, caring, stimulating and honours individuality and diversity.

To encourage positive relationships and respect for other people's views, feelings and beliefs.

To offer the children a rich and varied education within the framework of the National Curriculum.

To provide each child with the opportunity to develop a positive self image and reach their full potential within a context of faith, worship and Christian teaching.

To provide the children with a variety of experience that will foster and develop a sense of curiosity, wonder and faith.

To help the children develop the skills and values that will enable them to become positive role models within their community

To develop in children an appreciation of the environment at school, in the local area and in the wider world and to encourage them to look after and protect it.

To provide the opportunity for children to develop the skills which will enable them to deal with difficult situations and face new challenges confidently.

To reinforce preferred behaviour and make clear the sanctions against unacceptable behaviour.

To welcome and maintain positive relationships between the school, home, church and wider community.
